If you’re looking to improve your gut health, you’ve probably heard me rave about The Cultured Coconut – my absolute favourite probiotic product. In this post, I’m going to share why I recommend it to my clients, family, and friends (even dogs!), and why it might be exactly what your gut needs too!
What is The Cultured Coconut ?
The Cultured Coconut is a handmade, fermented, non-dairy probiotic made from organic coconut and non-chlorinated water. It’s crafted using a traditional fermentation process with ancient milk kefir grains, resulting in a high-quality probiotic that delivers a wide variety of beneficial bacterial strains. With over 40 active bacterial strains and 4 trillion CFUs (colony-forming units) per tablespoon, The Cultured Coconut stands out as a top choice for gut health.
Why is Gut Health So Important?
A healthy gut is the foundation for optimal physical and mental health. Poor gut health can lead to a variety of chronic health issues, and it was this belief that inspired me to create my Gut Reset Program to help clients restore balance and eliminate symptoms tied to digestion, hormones, autoimmune, and other chronic health issues and imbalances.
The microbiome in your digestive system plays a crucial role in digestion and overall health. When the balance of good vs. bad bacteria is disrupted—due to factors like stress, poor diet, medications (e.g., birth control, antibiotics), food sensitivities, or hormone imbalances—it can lead to digestive issues like bloating, heartburn, and even more serious conditions. That’s why supporting your gut health with a high-quality probiotic like The Cultured Coconut is so important.
Benefits of Using a Probiotic
Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that support gut health and overall well-being. They can help with:
- Digestive issues (bloating, heartburn, constipation, etc.)
- Acne and skin health
- Immune system support (including modulating immune response)
- Treatment and prevention of diarrhea (especially useful for travel)
- Inflammatory bowel diseases (like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)
- UTIs, allergies, and asthma
- Infant colic relief (a great tip for new parents!)
Given today’s modern diets and lifestyles, most of us could benefit from rebalancing our gut microbiome with a probiotic.
Why The Cultured Coconut is My Top Choice
While there are many probiotics on the market, this one stands out for several reasons:
- Diverse Strains: The Cultured Coconut offers over 40 bacterial strains which means it can support a variety of health issues, from digestive discomfort to immune function.
- High Colony Forming Units (CFUs): With more than 4 trillion CFUs per tablespoon, this probiotic provides a potent dose of beneficial bacteria.
- Refrigeration for Quality: Unlike some powdered or capsule probiotics, The Cultured Coconut is refrigerated, ensuring the bacteria remain viable throughout the product’s shelf life.
- Ease of Use: The Cultured Coconut is incredibly easy to incorporate into your daily routine. Some just take it straight from a spoon, although it has a bit of a funky smell, so most people prefer to mix it with something. I add it to our morning smoothies and my kids don’t even know it’s in there! One less capsule to swallow!
- Local & Sustainable: It’s made right here at home in Canada with high-quality ingredients—supporting local businesses and sustainability.
The Cultured Coconut is available at Costco and most grocery and health food stores across Canada. It’s also available in several states in the US. Check out their website to see where you can get it!
Ready to Try The Cultured Coconut?
If you’re already using a probiotic, or if you’re thinking about starting one, I highly recommend giving The Cultured Coconut a try. It’s a game-changer for gut health! Let me know what you think if you try it, and if you’re already a fan, share your favourite way to it!

Since I have kefir or yogurt before or with breakfast and an acidophilus capsule in the evening before bed, I time taking a tablespoon of liquid cultured coconut after lunch. Does it matter when to take this probiotic, or should I move my timing for best effect?
Hi Donna!
Spreading it all out is a great plan! One suggestion I have is to take the Cultured Coconut 30-60 minutes before lunch or dinner – acid from food can sometimes affect the bacteria. You could try rotating the Cultured Coconut – one week, take it mid-morning, another week before lunch, and see what feels best in terms of digestion and bloating.😊
